As you may be aware, in November 2022, The REDcycle soft plastic recycling program ceased operation.
As a result, we are removing reference to the REDcycle program from our packaging and are aligning our soft plastics disposal guidance with the updated Australasian Recycling Labelling guidelines. www.arl.org.au
Until an alternate soft plastic collection and recycling solution is widely available, we ask consumers to please read the instructions on the label of your packaging and dispose of accordingly. If a REDcycle logo is still being displayed, please dispose of our soft plastic packaging in your home rubbish bin, not in kerbside recycling bins (unless the Curby or NPRS trial is available in your area) as it is not recyclable in that system.
Finding long-term solutions that continue to advance recycling initiatives and help us to meet Australia’s National Packaging Targets will require the combined efforts of government, industry, NGOs, packaging manufacturers, waste recovery and recycling industries. I&J continues to support and work to advance these efforts.
